Here is the thing, go to our good friend Google, type in the question "what is the Answer to Life, the Universe and Everything?" And wait to be amazed by the answer.
The story is said to originate from the comic sci-fi The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Where in the first novel in the series a group of hyper-intelligent pan-dimensional beings demand to learn the Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, The Universe, and Everything. They created a super computer, Deep Thought, that was especially designed to answer this question. It took Deep Thought 7 and a half million years to calculate the answer which turned out to be: 42
However, Deep Thought did indeed point out that the answer is meaningless; because the beings who instructed it never actually knew what the Question was. The guy got a point!
In 1994 Douglas Adams created the 42 Puzzle; in which he made an illustration consisting of 42 multi-coloured balls, in 7 columns and 6 rows. In the puzzle the question is unknown, but the answer is already known to be 42. Just like the book in which the "Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything" is known but not the question.
